Gas purification - using powdered absorption media

Input gas passes through a powdered absorbtion-medium which forms the surface layer of a filter bed of coarser material. When the absorbtion medium is saturated, a reverse-flow mode is initiated using treated gas to blow the saturated powder from the filter bed into an emptying system. The advantage is that the system can be automatic or semi-automatic and is extendable by units.
