<p>A sealing means for a high pressure axial piston pump, which is especially to be used as a drill slime pump, has a piston (11) which is surrounded by a first gasket (seal 29) which faces towards the pump medium side and a second gasket (24-28) which faces towards the drive side and an intermediate sealing fluid zone having circulating high pressure sealing fluid. The sealing fluid zone is provided with a flush fluid means (52) including a helical flush duct (54-56). The inlet opening (at 59) of the flush duct (54-56) is arranged just in front of said second gasket (24-28), while the outlet opening (at 57) of the flush duct is arranged just behind the said first gasket (seal 29) (reckoned in the axial direction of the piston pump from the pump medium side towards the drive side).</p> |
