PURPOSE:To enhance image density and to reduce fog by using a carrier and a toner each having a specified average particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:The toner of a 2-component type developer has an average particle diameter of 5-10mum, and its carrier has that of 60mum. Toner density can be enhanced withot leaving a lone toner attaching to no carrier and tending to cause fog by using such a carrier having small average particle diameter, i.e., large specific surface area. As a result, image density can be enhanced and fog can be lowered only by controlling the developer without taking measures, such as raise of bias voltage. |
