PURPOSE:To accurately perform the discrimination of young liquor and urn aged one of millet brandy (AWAMORI), by utilizing such a fact that the metal component of urn aged liquor is more than that of young one, on the basis of one or more component in the specific metal component group in millet brandy. CONSTITUTION:The accurate discrimination of urn aged liquor and young one of millet brandy (AWAMORI) is enabled through measurement due to an atomic absorption spectroscopic method by utilizing such a fact that metal components such as iron, copper, Ca, Mn, K or Na eluted from the urn are contained in urn aged liquor and the content thereof is diferent from that of young one. For example, a definite amount of millet brandy is evaporated to dryness and 0.5 N-HCl aqueous solution is added to the dried one and, according to circumstances, the resulting mixtue is diluted to prepare a specimen solution which is, in turn, used to measure the content of one more of aforementioned metals by an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The measured result is compared with a calibration curve obtained by performing similar measurement by using a reference solution of a respective metal to know the metal content in millet brandy. |
