<p>PURPOSE:To attain to prolong the life of a thermal head, by laminating a chemical resistant protective film to the anti-wear protective film formed to aluminum oxide. CONSTITUTION:A heat generating resistor layer 3 and a first and a second conductors 4, 5 are covered with an anti-wear protective film 9 formed of aluminum oxide and this film 9 is further coated with a chemical resistant film 51 comprising metal oxide or metal nitride such as Ta2O5, SiO2 or Si3N4. By this constitution, the elongation of the life of a thermal head is achieved.</p> |
