<p>PURPOSE:To improve dispersibility, wear resistance (still durability), tack and stability with age by incorporating at least a polycarbonate polyurethane contg. no ester linkage as a binder into a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic coating is obtd. by stirring and mixing magnetic powder, etc. and a compsn. contg. a polycarbonate polyurethane having no ester linkage as a binder. The coating is then applied on the surface of a substrate and is subjected to surface finishing, thereby manufacturing a magnetic tape having a magnetic layer 2 of a prescribed thickness. Squareness ratio, tack, stability with age and still durability are thus improved.</p> |
