PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the diagnostic sensitivity by regulating receiving gain at a specific position in scanning space according to an angle formed by a vector direction of set at a specific position and a vector direction of ultrasonic beam passing the specific position. SOLUTION: High frequency pulse generated from a transmitter is given to each oscillator of a prove 1 and the ultrasonic pulse is injected to a subject. Reflected waves from the subject are received by the prove 1, are taken in a receiver 8, and when image data is put in a sensitivity corrector 11 through an A/D converter and a digital scanning converter(DSC) 10, sensitivity correcting treatment is conducted concerning the direction perpendicular to the ultrasonic beam. Namely, the receiving gain at a specific position is regulated according to the angle formed by a given vector direction set at the specific position in the scanning space and the vector direction of ultrasonic beam passing through the specific position. |
