PURPOSE:To accomplish winding of a yarn without breakage of a yarn and fluctuation in tension by controlling the rotation of an induction motor with a control unit having a braking function in a winder where a bobbin mount spindle is rotated by the induction motor. CONSTITUTION:An induction motor 2 for driving a spindle 1 on which a bobbin 7 is mounted is controlled to rotate by frequency output from an inverter 4 according to a winding control command signal from a control unit 5. A braking device 1 is mounted on the induction motor 2. The braking device 3 is constructed so that a brake arm is pivoted by operation of a pair of left and right air cylinders 15 and a brake shoe is brought into pressure contact with a brake drum to conduct braking. The braking device 3 is controlled in such a manner that pressurized air is sent to a logic element 22 by opening a solenoid switch valve 21 through a pressurized air supply circuit 17, and pressurized air from a reducing valve 19 is supplied to the air cylinders 15. |
