PURPOSE:To obtain a normal picture even with a normal color TV receiver by using a delay line to apply the frame correlation processing of the inter-line R-Y polarity to the special signal of a PAL system VTR obtained by reproducing the signal of a rotary double head recording system with a reproduction exclusive head. CONSTITUTION:When an input signal is impressed to a terminal 1, a switch 2 is switched to the (a) side at every frame by a head switching signal in a reproduction mode obtained by a record/reproduction head A. While the switch 2 is changed to the (b) side which is delayed by a horizontal period by a delay line 3 in a reproduction mode set by a head A' for special reproduction having an adverse azimuth angle to the azimuth angle of a head B for record/reproduction. A switch 4 is switched to the (c) side where the signal of the switch 2 is delivered to a terminal 5 in the case of a still picture of a standard mode. The switch 4 is usually switched to the (d) side excepting case of a still picture of a standard mode. Therefore the signal having no R-Y signal alternating pole correlation between frames is turned into a signal which is delayed by a horizontal period for each frame. Thus it is possible to supply a normal PAL signal to a TV receiver.
