PURPOSE:To enable continuous weighing accurately by bringing the powder and grain to be weighed into contact with a rotor to detect changes in a shaft torque with the repulsing of the powder and grain. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 3 is rotated by a motor 7 through a torque detector 6. Here, the revolutions thereof can be determined properly according to the quantity of powder 2 to be weighed. Then, an amplifier 9 is adjusted with the powder 2 kept from falling to determine the zero point. Then, as the powder 2 is let fall, it 2 hits the surface of a urethane rubber layer 4 and repulsed in the tangential direction of the rotation. The resulting reaction is applied to the rotor 3 to twist the rotating shaft of the torque detector 6. An electrical signal thus obtained is amplified with an amplifier 9 and recorded on a recorder 10. As the reaction applied to the rotor 3 varies with the falling flow rate of the powder 2, the quantity of the powder 2 can be weiged continuously by amplifying and recording the corresponding output of the torque detector 6.
