PURPOSE:To enable cutting oil to be effectively supplied with a less expensive low pressure pump and reduce damage of a main shaft, by providing a pump mechanism with a non-rotatable support member in a tool holder unit with an oiler of a machine tool. CONSTITUTION:A tool holder 1 is provided with a non-rotatable support member 5 and an oil supply passage 16 is disposed between an edge of a shank 3 fixedly inserted into a spindle of a machine and its center. Cutting oil supplied through a pump enters into a vane pump chamber 17 disposed in an inner circumference of the non-rotatable support member 5 through a flow passage 24 and a ring- shaped flow passage 22. The tool holder 1 is provided with a pair of vanes 18a, 18b biased by a spring 19, the rotation of which permits the vanes to operate as a pump for increasing the pressure of the cutting oil so that it is supplied to an oil supply port 28 through a ring-shaped flow passage 26 and a flow passage 29, and further to a machining portion through an oil hose at a tool center. Various types of pumps are applicable to the system and a less expensive low pressure pump can be used as a main pump. |
