The invention relates to a roller for straightening skewed drafts in textile fabric webs or the like and is aimed at providing a straightening roller for skewed drafts, by means of which even pronounced skewed drafts can be aligned perfectly, if possible with a single straightening roller, and by means of which, above all, after the alignment, the tensions in the material web are kept low, and if possible can be avoided completely. For this, there is proposed, according to the invention, a roller, in which a rotating shaft connected to a drive has fastened to it a supporting body for the mountings of bars arranged on the circumference of the roller and tiltable or pivotable to a larger or smaller roller diameter (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
