PURPOSE:To improve the using efficiency of a memory and to increase the sound recording time by counting the continuous no-sound sections and writing the count value to the memory in the form of the no-sound frame data in case the no-sound sections of the sound information are continuous. CONSTITUTION:The analog sound information supplied through a signal line 11 is sent to an A/D converting circuit 13 via a low pass filter 12 to be converted into the digital data. This digital data is sent to a sound/no-sound detecting part 14 and written to a register together with a code S. When the sound data is changed to a no-sound section from a sound section, the contents of a counter are sent to a decoder as well as to a multiplexer 16 via a bus line A. Then the number of no-sound frames is transferred an RAM21 together with a no-sound/ sound flag F''1'' and written to a designated address. The sound data written to the RAM21 is reproduced correctly by repeating the no-sound frames in response to the frame data read out of the RAM21. |
