A multi-segment thermoplastic container is disclosed having an injection/blow-molded thermoplastic body and a thermoplastic base cup welded to the body. A process for manufacturing containers is also described wherein the containers are formed in two separate pieces by means such as injection/blow molding and are later fused together by means such as friction-welding to form a single integral container package. |
