An oil scraper ring for reciprocating piston internal combustion engines, which is arranged in an annular groove in the circumferential surface of a piston has an oil collecting chamber open to the cylinder running surface, which chamber is axially defined on both sides by at least partially trapezoidal webs bearing on a cylinder running surface.
