PURPOSE:To obtain the titled prepolymer suitable for use in varnishes, etc. and excellent in adhesion, etc., of a cured product, by reacting an isocyanato group- containing polyurethane with hydroxyethyl acrylate and a specified reactive diluent. CONSTITUTION:Tolylene diisocyanate is reacted with a mixture of tetraethylene glycol, 1,4-butanediol and trimethylolpropane at an NCO/OH molar ratio of 1.2- 1.8. The produced isocyanato group-terminated polyurethane compound is mixed with hydroxyethyl acrylate in such an amount that 0.08-0.15mol of acryl groups are present in 100g of the prepolymer as the reaction product, and then mixed with 10-50wt%, based on the prepolymer, reactive diluent (e.g., a mixture of compounds of formulas I and II), and the resulting mixture is reacted to obtain the purpose radical-polymerizable prepolymer.
