PURPOSE:To accommodate a telephone set having direct function button to an exchange by providing a corresponding memory between a function button and a telephone number and a corresponding memory between the telephone number and the allocated position of a telephone set using its number to a private branch of exchange or the like. CONSTITUTION:An individual telephone number is allocated to each function button of the telephone set 5 having function button and its number is stored in an ROM memory 11. When a telephone number assigned to the telephone set 5 is dialed from an optional telephone set, a processore 9 instructs the incoming display to the telephone set 5 via a signal transmission/receiving circuit 7. When the response is operated, the processor 9 sets the allocated position of the responded telephone set to a memory 12, and drives a drive circuit 8 so as to operate a channel switch 6, thereby allowing the connection with the calling telephone set. |
