PURPOSE:To improve the resolution by dividing minutely and concentrically each piezoelectric element divided in the concentrical form within prescribed width so as to prevent a lateral mode from being generated in the operating frequency band. CONSTITUTION:The ring vibrator is divided concentrically with width P1, and consists of divided rings 2a-2d made of a piezoelectric element such as ceramic or the like and electrodes 3a-3d connected to the divided rings 2a-2d. The divided rings 2a-2d are made up further of plural minutely divided rings having width dividing minutely the width P1 in the concentrical form. Thus, the lateral mode is shifted to a high frequency band. |
