The re-sealable pack is intended for holding moisturing tissues or the like. It comprises an envelope consisting of impermeable and weldable plastic foil (polypropylene-polythene laminate 0.5 mm thick) provided with an opening, and a foil cover strip (polypropylene 0.11 mm thick) which is coated with contact adhesive (acrylate-based 0.02 mm thick) and seal-welded to the (polythene side of the) pack by applying heat and pressure on an edge region of the strip. The opening is punched from one side after applying the strip to the other such that the punched-out area remains attached to the strip. The packs are produced as a continuous length linked via transverse welds at which they are detachable.
