PURPOSE:To perform vulcanization with good workability when a rubber hose stock is vulcanized with the stock covered with lead, by firmly pressing elongate lead films having a prescribed width each of which has bent flange sections on the opposite ends onto the circumferential surface of the stock, and welding the flange sections to cover the stock with the lead films. CONSTITUTION:An inner rubber 2 is fed to an extruder 3 and is covered with an outer rubber to produce a rubber hose stock 4. On the other hand, the lead films 13 that have been molded into an elongate shape with a prescribed width and have been provided with the bent flange sections 13a, 13a at the opposite ends are payed out from an unwinder 18, are abutted to the undersurface of the rubber hose stock 4 by a deflector roll 19, are fed into a roll molder 17 and are pressed firmly to be molded onto the outer circumferential surface of the rubber hose stock 4 by molding rolls 14, 15, 16. Then the lead films 13 and the rubber hose stock 6 are passed through a gradient guide 20, the opposite flanged sections 13a, 13a are abutted to each other and welded by a gas burner 21, then the obtained rubber hose stock 6 covered with the lead is fed to a vulcanizing apparatus 7, and after the vulcanization, the lead cover is removed. |
