PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory extruded molding by a powder extruding method by placing a pad having ductility on the head part of a preform and extruding a powder molding or sintered body from an extruding pressure vessel. CONSTITUTION:The powder molding or sintered body in an extruding pressure vessel 4 is first compressed and compacted by the pressurization to the yield and deformation of the above-described pad 6 and further a part thereof is extruded from a die 3. Flow is then initiated in the powder molding as well and the powder is extruded in the state of having the central part as a top end and sheathing the circumference with the pad material. The sheath thickness decreases on progression of the extrusion but the sheath remains on the surface layer part and the extrudate as if the entire part is put in a container 7 as shown in the figure is obtd. More specifically, the material 6 exhibits the lubricating effect near the die 3 for its ductility, thus permitting easy deformation of the powder molding. The extrusion molding is thus made possible even if the powder molding is not packed in the container 7.
