The grip mechanism comprises at least three arms (3) provided with worm threads (13) which work in conjunction with a threaded (9) screw (2) so that high transmission and thereby considerable tension force is received radially in both directions. The grip arms (3) are located directly in the accommodating housing (1), which means that there is a considerable grip width with reduced outer dia. - The lock screw (2) is provided with a fluted head with the same dia. as the grip unit housing (1), so that max. tension force is provided by manual locking. It has a head under side provided with a groove for a screwdriver, or a hexagonal hole for a corresp. spanner. It can also be provided with threads (9) along its body (10).
