In a pipe connection between the filling/emptying opening of a rotating fermenter situated in a tank filled with hot water, and a stationary inlet/outlet pipe flanged onto the outside of the tank, the bottom of the fermenter containing the filling/emptying opening is connected to a pipe connection piece, to which a connecting pipe, which penetrates fully the tank wall in the region of a wall opening delimited by a sealing arrangement, is connected, which projects out beyond the sealing arrangement into the associated inlet/outlet pipe. In this manner, simple sealing is provided between the fermenter content and the hot water volume on the one hand and of the hot water tank to the outside on the other hand.
