PURPOSE:To obtain a compact and lightweight video signal reproducer by winding a magnetic tape around a tape guide drum within an angle range of 300 deg. and providing rotary heads of different extending directions of gaps to have alternating rubs to the magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 2 is wound around a tape guide drum 1 within an angle range of 300 deg., and six reproduction rotary heads 4A, 7A and 9A as well as 6B, 8B and 10B are set with 60 deg. angle spaces and have the same extending directions of gaps every second one. A revolution control part revolves these six heads at 300 deg./360 deg. times as much as the field frequency, and a switching circuit 57 extracts the reproduction outputs of these heads successively for every field. In such a constitution, the diameter of the drum 1 is decreased to realize a compact and lightweight recording/reproducing device for video signal. |
