The compounds of the general formula <IMAGE> in which R represents methyl or ethyl, R' represents hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, R''' represents hydrogen, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal equivalent or C1-6-alkyl and X' represents <3bL>CH, <3bL>C-CH3 or <3bL>C-C2H5 are intermediates, especially in the production of compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R and R' have the above meaning and X represents <2bL>CH2, <2bL>CH-CH3 or <2bL>CHC2H5. The compounds of the formula I represent known flavourings and/or sugar degradation products. |
