PURPOSE:The titled composition showing extremely high effect on prevention of attachment of marine organisms taking place at an early stage of contamination of attachment of the marine organisms, containing a chromic acid compound as an antifouling active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition containing chromic acid compounds shown by the formula I and formula II (X is monovalent metal ion; Y is bivalent metal ion) as an antifouling active ingredient. It preferably further contains one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of cuprous oxide, zinc dimethyldithiocarbamate, copper thiocyanate, and zinc oxide and further an organotin-containing copolymer having an organotin-containing repeating unit shown by the formula III and/or formula IV (R1-R6 are 1-8C alkyl, phenyl, etc.; Z and W are H or methyl) and/or an organotin compound shown by the formula V and/or formula VI (R1'-R6' are alkyl, phenyl, etc.; U is halogen, ester, etc.; V is O, etc.). Amount of the compounds shown by the formula I and formula II is preferably 1-65wt%.
