ELECTRICAL BRAKE LINING WEAR INDICATOR An indicator for indicating a predetermined amount of wear of a brake lining comprises a brake lining support member operably connected to a brake actuating means and supported thereby, a brake lining is fixedly attached to the brake lining support member and when actuated by the brake actuating means frictionally engages a rotating member rotatably mounted on an axle means which carries the brake actuating means, is connected to an electrical circuit and is disposed on the brake lining support member and insulated therefrom by insulating means, the electrical switch means has a head portion which contacts the rotating member when the brake lining support member frictionally engages the rotating member and the brake lining is worn to a predetermined level to complete the electrical circuit to energize an indicatingmeans connected to the electrical circuit. |
