PURPOSE:To reduce the weight in a vertically movable part and to simplify a driving mechanism by making a setting carriage assembled with a work freely movable back and forth between the setting position and a processing position and permitting the processing of the work by moving vertically only the carriage. CONSTITUTION:A setting carriage 1 is returned to a setting position A, and after a work (a) is set atop the carriage, the carriage advances to a forward processing part B along the guide rail 3 on a machine bed 2. A lifting base 5 is moved upward by a driving cylinder 6 and other driving source, then the carriage 1 supported at the bottom end by a supporting arm 5a extending from the base 5 moves upward. The work (a) is subjected to welding and other processing in the up position. The vertically movable part is made light in weight and the driving mechanism is simplified by the above-mentioned mechanism. |
