PURPOSE:To provide a silent inexpensive air purifier, by mounting an ionization wire and the opposed electrode thereof while mounting a dust collecting electrode to the downstream side thereof. CONSTITUTION:An ionization wire 11 and the opposed electrodes 12, 12' of the ionization wire 11 are provided and hih voltage is applied between the ionization wire 11 and the opposed electrodes 12, 12' to generate an ionized air stream. Ozone generated in the ionization part is contacted with the surfaces of the electrodes 12, 12', 13 in a dust collecting part and oxidizes the electrodes to lower an ozone concn. By this method, ozone is collected and the ozone concn. in air sent from an air sending port 14 can be lowered.
