PURPOSE:To obtain a sliding contact material with improved wear resistance by adding restricted amounts of Mn and In, Sn, Sb, P, Ti or Zr to a prescribed Au-Pt-Pd-Ag-Cu-Zn alloy material. CONSTITUTION:This sliding contact material is obtd. by adding 1-10wt% Mn and 0.5-3wt% one or more among In, Sn, Sb, P, Ti and Zr to an alloy material consisting of, by weight, 9-11% Au, 9-11% Pt, 34-36% Pd, 29-31% Ag, 13- 15% Cu and 0.5-1.5% Zn without changing the ratio in the composition. To the alloy material may be further added 0.05-0.5wt% Fe group metal. By the composition the grains are made fine to improve the wear resistance, so a brush contact or the like with low and stable contact resistance can be manufactured using the sliding contact material. |
