PURPOSE:To easily make a place name display of a world timepiece visible by using the second hand of a pointer display type timepiece for the place name display of the world timepiece. CONSTITUTION:As for a time display of a world timepiece, the time of some place name is displayed by the hour hand 1 and the minute hand 2, and its place name is displayed by the second hand 3. The time of a usual time mode is set as the time of Tokyo and set as a reference time for switching it to the world timepiece. By an arithmetic circuit 11, a time difference to the reference time of some place name which has been selected by an external switch 8 is led out of a time difference storing circuit 10, calculated and a pulse of a time difference portion is sent by a pointer driving circuit 12, and the time of the selected place name is displayed by a display device 13. On the other hand, the selected place name which has been selected by the external switch 8 is stored in a place name storing circuit 15, and by a place name pointer arithmetic circuit 14, a position of the stored place name is led out of the circuit 15, a difference against a position of the second hand which has been counted by a counting circuit 7 is calculated, a pulse of its difference is sent out by the pointer driving circuit 12, and the selected place name is displayed 13. |
