Burner arrangement for glass smelting furnaces, the walls of which comprise above the surface of the glass (42) at least one inlet port (44) for the feeding of pre-heated combustion air into the furnace chamber, at least one burner lance (40) for the feeding of a stream of pulverulent fuel being associated with each inlet port, characterized in that the burner lance (40) is disposed below the furnace-end aperture (41) of the inlet port (44), the lance axis (46) and the longitudinal central plane (47) through the inlet port intersecting each other at a point (48) in the furnace chamber above the surface of the glass (42) at an angle (beta) of between 15 degrees and 50 degrees, and in that the burner lance (40) comprises a central tube (1) for feeding the jet of fuel dust of high fuel dust concentration and high axial velocity, the tube being enclosed by a tube (2) for feeding the additional stream of gas into an annular gap (12) surrounding the mouth to the central tube. |
