PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mobile communication system capable of reducing the power consumption of a mobile station, by uniting position registration or paging processing of each radio scheme. SOLUTION: In a mobile station 100 connectable to two kinds of radio schemes, position registration processing executed in a mobile communication system is executed for either of the radio schemes (communication network 101 or 111), thereby saving power of the mobile station 100. Furthermore, the mobile station waits for paging processing under execution in the mobile communication system, only for either of the radio schemes (communication network 101 or 111), thereby achieving its power saving of the mobile station. Still further, upon receiving the paging, the mobile station 100 selects the less expensive of the radio schemes (111 in the figure) to execute connection request of a radio line, authentication processing or U-plane conduction, such as sound/voice and data.
