PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of the pump of a piezo-element by freezing as well as provide a versatility for the shape of a pressure chamber by a method in which the pressure chamber is made up of an elastic material other than the vibrating pipe of the piezo-element and a liquid in the pressure chamber is discharged through an intervend liquid. CONSTITUTION:A pressure chamber 121 is made up of an other elastic material 120 in a vibrating pipe 114, but not of the vibrating pipe 114 composed of a piezo-element directly. An intervend liquid for transmitting vibration is confined between the vibrating pipe 114 and the pressure chamber 121, and the vibration of the pipe 114 is transmitted through the intervend liquid to the elastic material 120 constituting the pressure chamber 121. The liquid in the pressure chamber 121 is discharged by the vibration, and thereby a versatility is provided for the shape of the pressure chamber to form a conical shape of pressure chamber, for example. The intervend liquid, having a lower freezing point than a liquid to be supplied, in a space 124 is pushed out to a valve chamber 302 when the liquid in the pressure chamber 121 is frozen and expanded and further discharged to a buffer 304, thus preventing the breakage of the pump. |
