PURPOSE:To provide a nozzle for producing a quickly-cooled light-gage strip which forms stably the light-gage strip having a good end face characteristic by specifying the length of a slender slit hole formed by restricting the top end of a pipe material and the shape of the restricted part. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle is constituted by restricting the top end of a pipe material 1 and forming a slender slit hole 2. The relation between the length l1 of the hole 2 and the inside diameter D of a pipe body 3 is made 0<=l1<=D. The slit hole is so formed that the inside wall surface in the restricted part 4 directing from the end edge in the longitudinal direction thereof toward the inside has no surface that intersects orthogonally with the longitudinal direction of the body 3. The length (h) in the part 4 of the nozzle is preferably made 0.3D<=h<=2D. The length l2 in the linear part 5 extending along the length of the hole 2 on the outside on the inside surface of the part 4 is determined at 0<=l2<=l1. The formation of burrs at both ends in the transverse direction of a light-gage strip is thus prevented. |
