PURPOSE:To reduce the trouble of input operations, by providing a file of idioms or the like beginning with the same word and inputting the item number of the idiom displayed on a display part and adding newly an unregistered idiom, whose frequency in use is increased, to the file. CONSTITUTION:When a Kanji (Chinese character), for example, ''hi'' is inputted with a character key 211, it is inputted to an input data buffer memory through an input controlling part 321, and an idiom screen display controlling part 31 displays all regisrtered idioms, which begin with Kanji ''hi'', from an idiom file 41 together with their item numbers on a display part 11. A desired item number is inputted with an item number key 221 to input an idiom signal from an item number code generator 223 to a character storage controlling part 323. An idiom storage controlling part 33 takes out a designed idiom, for example, ''nipponretto'' from the file 41 in accordance with the code from an item code converter 222 for the code of Kanji ''hi'' of an input data buffer 323 and stores it in an input data file 42. When an idiom is registered newly, the idiom is generated with a register start key 231 and the character input key and is transferred to the file 41 with an end key 232. Thus, the trouble of input is reduced. |
