PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to form an electrode and to raise both productivity and reliability by covering the outside surface and both end faces of a roll body with an electrical insulator, fitting a flange having a bearing and electrode to both ends, and thereafter, fitting a resistor to the outside circumferential surface. CONSTITUTION:The outside surface and both end faces of a roll body 6 made of stainless steel are coated with an insulating film 3 of Al2O3, etc., a resistance film 2 of TiO2, etc. is coated on said film, and also a film 1 of ''Teflon'' etc. is coated on said film. Also, the flange 4 made of stainless steel is fixed to both the end faces with a screw, etc. Accordingly, when power is supplied from a brush 5, its current flows from one end of the flange to the other end without leaking to the roll body 6, and as a result, the resistance film 2 is heated to about 200 deg.C by the current. In this way, it is unnecessary to form an electrode, and the productivity and reliability of the roll can be raised. |
