TRANSFER TYPE IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To separate a transfer material smoothly from a photosensitive body by arranging an electrode on the transfer material advancing side of a cleaner case and impressing bias voltage repulsing the electrostatic charge of the transfer material from the transfer material to the electrode. CONSTITUTION:The transfer material 7 is fed to a copying part A by a pair of resistor rolls 5 at the timing of the rotation of the photosensitive body 1 and a developing image on the photosensitive body is transferred to the transfer material 7 by a transfer corona of a transfer electrifier 6 at the transfer part A. The transfer material 7 is separated from the photosensitive body 1 by a separating belt and carried to a carrier device 9 through a separation roll 8. Since the bias voltage having the same polarity as the electrostatic charge applied to the surface of the transfer material 7 supplied at the time of transferring is impressed to the electrode 41 arranged on the lower surface of the cleaner case, the transfer material 7 is moved to the carrier device 9 side by the repulsion between the charge and the bias voltage. Consequently, image disturbance or dispersion due to the contact of the transfer material with the cleaner case or jam of the cleaner case due to the transfer material included in the cleaner case can be previously prevented.
