PURPOSE:To cool quickly a plating material and to prevent the dropping of molten metal by covering the surface of a plating bath with a heat insulating material, providing a cooling hood, and introducing cooling gas therein from the bottom to top of the circumference of the material to be plated in pulling up the same. CONSTITUTION:A plate-shaped heat insulating material 3 is disposed on the surface of a plating bath 2 near the pulling up part of a material 1 to be plated. A cooling hood is put atop the material 3 and cooling gas 7 is conducted along the circumference of the material 1 to be pulled up from the lower to upper part. The temp. of a molten metal is then stably maintained and the cooling capacity of the material 1 is intensified. Even if the plating metal to be stuck is thick, the drooping of said metal is prevented by the quick cooling and the long-sized hot dipped material having good surface appearance is obtd. |
