A plastic running-sole covering for skis has a running sole which forms a climbing aid and is provided with a multiplicity of tongues (4) which are aligned in the longitudinal direction of the ski and end in a tip, which can be bent up, towards the rear end of the ski. In order to reduce the sliding resistance in the running direction without impairing the climbing aid, the tongues (4) are bounded by running-sole incisions (2a, 2b) which are provided in the running-sole covering (1), start from the flat running sole and enclose an acute angle with the latter. <IMAGE>
