<p>The invention relates to a cooked refractory product consisting of refractory grains and a binder, and to its manufacturing method. The product is formed by a load of refractory grains pertaining to the group consisting of carbonaceous products such as anthracite, natural graphite, artificial graphite, amorphous carbon, coke, refractory compounds "RHM" such as silicon carbide, and refractory oxides such as alumina, corundum, magnesia, silica, chromium oxide, taken separately, mixed or in combination; said grains are made integral with each other by a cement based on coked carbonaceous products and powdery metal silicon; the final content of metal silicon is comprised between 1 and 15.8 % and, preferably, between 3 and 10.5 %. The product is intended to the making of sidewall linings of tundishes for the production of aluminum by ignited electrolysis, for linings of blast furnaces and electric furnaces in the electro-metallurgical field. </p> |
