<p>A getter container (12) has an outer side wall (14) and a bo-tom wall (18) for retaining pulverised getter material (22). A holding grip (30) for application of the device to the CRT extends radially outwards. A wire carrier (38) is used for spacing the container from the CRT wall. The carrier has a first portion, extending in a direction orthogonal to the holding grip and nearly parallel to the bottom wall. The first portion is integrally associated with a second portion (44) at an angle in the first portion and almost parallel to the bottom. A third portion is integral with the second portion, from which it extends orthogonally to the holding grip. It starts downwards and bends upwards to form a concave surface, directed towards the container bottom wall. Pref. the concave surface carries a ceramic member. The third portion may have several concave surfaces.</p> |
