A movable stand for a bicycle (10) has at least one rotatably mounted support roller (18), which is arranged with a horizontal axis and is mounted in a roller insert (15) at the rear end of a support bracket (17). The bicycle (10) is supported with its rear wheel on the support roller (18) and with the front wheel on a support insert (16), and is held against tipping over sideways at its steering column (19) on a holding frame formed from two support bars (20). This arrangement makes it possible for the bicycle (10) to be used at a freely selectable location as an appliance for physical exercise, since the driven rear wheel drives only the support roller (18), which is fixed in space and on which it is supported, with the result that the bicycle (10) remains where it is. <IMAGE>
