An arrangement related to furniture legs, in particular legs of chairs, for reducing scraping sounds arising from vibrations between the leg and the support - the floor - and comprising a vibration-damping elastic body 16 arranged at the end of the leg and provided with a friction-reducing coating. The object is to provide an arrangement having a high vibration-damping effect, and at the same time reducing friction between the piece of furniture and the floor. This has been achieved by the vibration-damping body 16 compressing so much when subjected to an external load acting on the piece of furniture that the coating 17 becomes situated within a cutout 15 in the shoe 12, which is formed with an abutment surface 13 surrounding the body 16 and the coating 17 and designed as an abutment surface against the floor. <IMAGE> |
