PURPOSE:To perform rational utilization of heat to save energy by a method wherein supplementary water of normal temperature is heated in condensor by exhaust heat from a turbine in supplementary water system for supplying water to the cycle to a power generating plant. CONSTITUTION:In a plant in which steam generated in a boiler 1 is sent to a steam extraction condensor turbine 3 to perform work and to drive a generator 4, steam extracted from an intermediate stage of a turbine 3 is sent to deaerator 7 and the steam passed through the turbine 3 is sent to a ondensor 9, supplementary water 13 to be fed to a make up water tank 12 is flowed into the condensor 9 during its flow passage, heat exchanged with exhaust steam from the turbine and heated, and finally supplied to the water supplying tank 12. A bypass line 19 bypassing the condensor 9 is arranged at the supplementary water pipe line to be ready for maintenance and operation in case of termination of the turbine. |
