PURPOSE:To obtain a punch press which is simple in its structure and high in its efficiency by using a cylindrical linear actuator which executes a direct reciprocating motion, as the punch press. CONSTITUTION:A rod 2 made of iron passes through the center part of a housing 1, and a striker 3 is fitted to the lower end of the rod 2, and strikes a punch 4 by a reciprocating motion of the rod 2. Two coils 5, 6 are provided on the inside of the housing 1, and by making a current flow to them alternately, the rod 2 executes the reciprocating motion in the upper and lower directions. As for the coils 5, 6, an insulating hollow electric conductor for making cooling water pass is wound to a frame 9 made of beryllium copper, and they are fixed by epoxy resin 10 and epoxy resin reinforced by a glass fiber so that they are not moved by electromagnetic force. |
