The machine is in a parallelepipedic enclosure having a horizontal opening in one of the lateral surfaces to accept a docket or card onto which a percentage reduction is imprinted. A mirror or display panel is provided on the front to permit the recipient to be immediately aware of the size of the reduction which has been randomly generated by the press of a button. An audible signal is also incorporated, with the pitch of the audible signal altering in proportion to the percentage reduction generated by the machine. A central computer is used to validate documents entered into the machine and to generate the random number.
