PURPOSE:To make highly accurate finishing unnecessary, reduce a cost and improve the reliability and the productivity thereof by a method wherein a matrix, easy to cast, is used to constitute the teeth of the scroll and the outer periphery of the teeth is covered by a covering material different from the material of the teeth. CONSTITUTION:The outer periphery of the matrix 12, constituting the teeth 1a of the fixed scroll 1, is covered by the covering material 12a while the outer periphery of the matrix 13, constituting the teeth 2a of the oscillating scroll 2, is covered by the covering material 13a. A metallic material, such as aluminum or the like, which is suitable for precision casting, is used as the matrixes 12, 13 while the material such as ceramic, molibdenum or the like, which is prominent in antiabrasion properties, is used as the covering materials 12a, 13a and is formed by spray coating. According to this method, machining of the matrixes 12, 13 may be omitted and only the covering members 12a, 13a should be worked precisely, therefore, the cost thereof may be reduced and the reliability as well as the productivity thereof may be improved. |
