PURPOSE:To make suspension of a shift lever reliable and to maintain smoothness of its turning operation, by fixing a brake device which is tightening and pressing the external circumference of a spindle to a turning shaft of a speed change gears. CONSTITUTION:A shift lever 9 is connected with an arm 7 of a turning shaft 2 of speed change gears through a connecting lever 10 and a turning operation is made to a neutral position (a), a forward side (b) and a reverse side (c). The arm 7 is provided with a brake device 5 tightening and pressing a spindle 3 and a clock ball 26 which is in the neutral position. With this constitution, suspension of the shift lever becomes accurate as braking force of the brake device 5 is workable at any shift position. Adjusting of the braking force becomes facile and smoothness in operation can be secured. |
