The first pack may comprise 30% powdered Mn, 0À5% ammonium iodide, and 70% powdered alumina, and heating is effected in a non-oxidizing atmosphere for 30 hours at 1100‹ F. The second pack may comprise 20% powdered Al, 0À5% ammonium iodide, 1% powdered Cd, and balance powdered alumina, and heating is effected in a non-oxidizing atmosphere for 30 hours at 900‹ F. |
